Assemble a customer advisory agenda from open asks
Customer advisory boards fail when agendas are marketing wishlists. Real asks make real agendas.
Customer advisory boards fail when agendas are marketing wishlists. Real asks make real agendas.
This hack: twenty minutes, assemble CAB agenda from open customer asks.
When to use it
- A CAB or advisory session is scheduled.
- You have open asks from customers or CS notes.
- You want discussion, not a pitch.
When not to
- You have no customer input. Collect asks first.
- Leadership wants only a product launch showcase. Label that correctly; don't call it advisory.
- Sensitive roadmap legal constraints apply. Follow disclosure rules.
Do this (timer on)
- 1. Paste open asks / CS themes.
- 2. Cluster into 3 discussion topics + timing.
- 3. Add what you will share vs what you need from them.
- 4. Send agenda early.
Prompt (copy)
Assemble a customer advisory agenda from open asks.
Output:
- Objective for the session
- 3 topics with timeboxes
- Pre-reads
- Decisions/input we need
- What we will not cover
Do not invent customer quotes.
