Write QBR talking points from the metrics sheet you already have
QBRs fail when you rebuild the story from screenshots the night before. The metrics sheet already exists. Talking points should come from it.
QBRs fail when you rebuild the story from screenshots the night before. The metrics sheet already exists. Talking points should come from it.
This hack: eighteen minutes, existing sheet, talking points only. Slides can wait.
When to use it
- A QBR or monthly review is soon.
- You have a metrics sheet or dashboard export.
- You need talking points, not a redesign.
When not to
- The numbers are wrong or disputed. Fix truth first.
- Leadership wants a new narrative that the data doesn't support. Don't invent.
- You have no sheet. Build a minimal pack first.
Do this (timer on)
- 1. Export or paste the key metrics for the period.
- 2. Run the prompt for talking points: wins, risks, asks.
- 3. Add two human sentences the sheet can't know.
- 4. Store points next to the sheet. Stop at points.
Prompt (copy)
Create QBR talking points from this metrics sheet.
Output:
1) Three wins (fact-tied)
2) Three risks / misses (fact-tied)
3) Two asks for the stakeholder
4) One appendix note: what we are NOT claiming
No invented ROI %. No vanity spin.
If a number is missing, say [NEED INPUT].
